Southwestern League Basketball Preview

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-Southwestern League play will begin Friday night, tipping off 2013 on the hardwood for our Grand Valley teams.

The big match up of the evening will pit No. 9 Montrose (4A) against Grand Junction. The two girls teams combining for a 17-3 record this season. Tip off is scheduled for 5:30 with the boys to follow at 7:30.

Fruita Monument will host Montezuma-Cortez on both the girls' and boys' sides.

Central will welcome in Durango H.S.

In a Western Slope League note, Palisade will host Glenwood Springs.
