Class 3A Playoffs: Western Slope Scores from First round

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--No. 1 Rifle defeated No. 16 Erie, 42-0, Saturday in the first round of Class 3A playoffs. It was the team's sixth shutout of the season.

The undefeated Bears will host No. 8 Roosevelt, who defeated Palisade, in the second round of the playoffs.

The Roughriders edged out the No. 9 Bulldogs, 21-15, Saturday at Roosevelt High School. Palisade ends its season at 8-3.

Finally, No. 13 Delta got a big upset over No. 4 The Classical Academy, 21-0.

The Panthers will play No. 5 Pueblo East in the second round of Class 3A playoffs.
