Palisade Wins in Wild Fashion

by Claire Brandon

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Greg Medina scored on a walk-off passed ball as the Bulldogs beat Windsor, 2-1, at Canyon View Park Saturday.

Senior pitcher Kameron Pfaff pitched all seven innings and got the win, allowing one run on three hits and striking out four.

"Kameron pitched a heck of a game for us," head coach Steve Moore said. "Kept us in the game the entire time. Our defense was strong. We really haven't put three things together yet, so when we do, we can be dangerous."

With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 6-1 on the season and stay undefeated at Canyon View Park.

"A win is a win," Pfaff said. "We could've played a lot better. Probably could've hit the ball a little better, but, if we win by a passed ball, we win, and that's another win on our record."

Palisade is back in action on April 7 to take on Palmer Ridge. First pitch is set for 4 p.m. at Canyon View Park.

Josh Hovis is the name of the player that scored the winning run in the 7th for Palisade High School, not Greg Medina! Please get it corrected. Thanks
