Olathe Remains Winless After Overtime Loss at Coal Ridge

by KREX News Room

RIFLE, Co.--Coal Ridge (3-1) came from behind to get a 12-6 overtime victory over Olathe (0-4) Friday night at Coal Ridge High School.

The Pirates scored on the opening drive of the game to take a 6-0 lead with 3:20 left in the first quarter, while the Titans didn't make it past their own 35 yard line on their first possession.

Olathe was held scoreless for the rest of the game as the four-time defending 2A Western Slope League champions are off to a rough start.

The Pirates also won the 2A State Title in 2008 and 2010.

The win is Coal Ridge's third-straight after falling to Class 1A No. 1 Rifle in their season opener.
