No. 9 Grand Junction Says They Are "Ready To Go" Against Rival Fruita

by Josh Moser

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-NewsChannel5 Sports Director Josh Moser caught up with the Grand Junction Tigers Wednesday afternoon as they continue preparation for Friday's rivalry game against Fruita Monument.

The No. 9 Tigers have not lost to the Wildcats in four years and will also be celebrating their homecoming night on Friday.

"You always know that when you play a game against your crosstown rival that the records don't mean anything," said Grand Junction Head Coach, Robbie Owens. " They're going to play as hard as they can and we're going to play as hard as we can and the best team will come out with a victory."

"It's senior year, it's our rival, it's homecoming, so this one means a lot to me," said Senior Defensive Tackle, DeShaun Harris.

Kick off is at 7pm Friday night at Stocker Stadium.
