DELTA, Colo.--No. 1 Rifle came away with its fifth shutout of the season, 21-0 over No. 9 Delta, Friday night at Delta High School.

The Bears, who have allowed just 22 points through nine weeks of action, snapped the Panthers' three-game winning streak.

Aaron Wagler picked off Mitch Whiteside on the opening drive, which led to a one-yard touchdown run by Ryan Moeller--his 28th of the season. The senior running back is one of the state's leading rushers.

The Bears took a 14-0 halftime lead after Adam Rice threw a nine-yard touchdown pass to Tanner Quick in the final 26 seconds of the second quarter.

With the win, Rifle (9-0, 7-0) claims the Western Slope League Title.
