No. 1 Rifle Outscoring Opponents 235-12 after Homecoming Shutout

RIFLE, Colo.--Rifle, the top-ranked team in Class 3A, got its third shutout of the season with a 55-0 homecoming victory over Battle Mountain Friday at Rifle High School.

Through five weeks, the Bears are now outscoring their opponents 235-12 and improve to 5-0 on the season.

Senior running back Ryan Moeller scored his 18th and 19th touchdowns of the season in the first quarter, as Rifle took a 21-0 lead into the second. Moeller leads the state in rushing yards and touchdowns.

The big Class 3A showdown is next Thursday, as No. 1 Rifle and No. 2 Palisade square off at Stocker Stadium.
