Western Slope Wrestlers Qualify for State

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--Top-ranked Paonia dominated on the mat at the Class 2A Western Regional Tournament Saturday at Grand Junction High School.

Thirteen of the Eagle's 14 wrestlers qualified for state, including Bo Pipher, CMU wrestling coach Chuck Pipher's nephew. who placed first in the 126-pound weight class.

The top four wrestlers from each weight class advance to the tournament, which is set for Feb. 21-23 at Pepsi Center.
