Lady Wildcats Upset No. 7 Montrose

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--Fruita Monument upset #7 Montrose 42-27 Tuesday night at Fruita Monument High School.

It was all defense for the Lady Widlcats, who handed the Lady Indians their first Southwestern League loss of the season.

Senior guard Lauren LaBonde led the way for the offense, scoring 12 first half points to give Fruita a 21-12 lead.

The Wildcats improve to 13-6 overall, 4-2 in league play, while Montrose falls to 12-3 on the season and 5-1 in the SWL.
