Grand Junction Tops Loveland to Advance to Round Two of the Class 5A Basketball Playoffs

by Josh Moser

Grand Junction-Grand Junction defeated Loveland High School Tuesday night, 58-47, advancing to the second round of the Class 5A State playoffs.

Justin Whiting and Broderick Robinson led the Tigers with 13 points each. Casey Burns added 11, including two monster dunks in the third quarter that swung all of the momentum in the Tigers' favor.

Grand Junction will travel to Arapahoe next week. The Warriors bounced the Tigers from the playoffs in the second round last season. That game scheduled to take place Friday night
