GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-Fruita Monument defeated Grand Junction High School, 5-4, in 8 Innings of play Tuesday afternoon at Canyon View Park.

Grand Junction scored in the opening frame on a ball hit by senior 1B, Hutton Veach that was bobbled by Casey Mays in left field.

The game stayed the same until the fourth inning when Fruita finally broke through on a RBI bloop-single by Gage Lovern.

Tiger starting pitcher, Steven Baldwin would go 5 innings strong giving up on one run on one hit with six strikeouts.

However, Fruita would rally with Baldwin not on the mound, with Evan McDerrmott hitting the game-winning RBI.
