Fruita Monument FInishes at .500 For First Time Since 2005

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-Fruita Monument (5-5, 3-1 SWL) def. Northglenn (2-8), 70-36, Friday afternoon in the CHSAA Non-Qualifying game after finishing 37th and 38th in Class 5A respectively.

The win puts the Wildcats at .500 for the first time since 2005.

Senior runningback Vince Grasso ran all over the field scoring two touchdowns in the first half. Grasso has received significant interest from Colorado Mesa University, expect him to stay home and become a Maverick.

Head Coach Sean Mulvey again earned the "High School Coach of the Week" after defeating Grand Junction H.S., 20-14 in Week 5.

Jacob Lynch will return next year as the Wildcats starting quarterback.
