Fruita, Central Drop Season Openers on the Diamond

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--The high school baseball season kicked off Thursday afternoon with the Bill Fanning Classic, in honor of the legendary Grand Junction baseball who passed away February 8th.

Errors proved to be costly for Grand Junction Central. The Warriors dropped their season-opener to Horizon, 4-2, at Suplizio Field.

Fruita Monument also came up short in their first game of 2013, falling to Rampart 14-10 at Canyon View Park.
