Four Local Athletes Sign National Letters of Intent

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--Wednesday marks the start of the early signing period for non-football athletes, and four local high school students signed their National Letters of Intent.

Two members of the league champion Fruita softball team made it official at the high school's signing ceremony.

Mallory Paulson, the Southwestern League MVP, signed to play infield at Dixie State in St. George, Utah.

Meanwhile, Mariaha O'Dell, who's also a first team All-Southwestern League selection, will play at Colorado Mesa.

Two Grand Junction Tigers also put ink to the paper on Wednesday.

Spencer Weinberg signed to play tennis at Colorado Mesa this coming spring. He will graduate from Grand Junction High School in December.

Lacee Kilgore will play volleyball at the University of Massachusetts Boston.
