Day Two: Lady Wildcat Classic

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--All three Southwestern League teams came away with a win on day two of the Lady Wildcat Classic Friday at Fruita Monument High School.

Grand Junction (6-0) remains undefeated after a 35-21 victory over Carbon County (2-3). Sydni Brandon led the way for the Tigers with 11 points in the defensive battle.

Meanwhile, host Fruita (4-1) edged out Columbine (1-3), 50-40. Kassidy Fair scored a team-high 16 points.

Finally, Central (2-3) got its second win of the season, 44-36 over Fountain Fort Carson (1-4).

Saturday is the final day of the tournament.
