Central Secures Back-to-Back SWL Wrestling Titles

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--Central took down #10 Fruita, 44-22. in the final round of the Southwestern League dual tournament Saturday at Central High School to claim its second-straight league title.

Jacob Crosby pinned Haiden Sloan in the 285-pound match to give the Warriors a 29-12 lead over the Wildcats, and Dominic Quintana sealed the victory by pinning Jared Seely at 113 pounds.

Grand Junction had a chance to knock off Fruita in the fourth round. The two were tied at 37 after the final match; however, the Wildcats owned the tiebreaker because of first points scored in each match.
