Central H.S. AD Confirms Brandon Harrison Interview

by Josh Moser

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-Central High School Athletic Director, Randy Powell confirmed Brandon Harrison's interview for the vacant football head coaching position Tuesday afternoon in a phone conversation with NewsChannel5 Sports Director, Josh Moser.

Harrison's interview was confirmed Monday afternoon by multiple sources in the Valley. Harrison again was the defensive coordinator at Grand Junction High School prior to last season.

Powell declined to provide any additional information on who Central is interviewing this week in addition to Harrison, but stated that interviews will be taking place.

Numerous sources in the area have said that Shawn Marsh, the former Fruita Monument and Grand Junction Head Coach, is expected to be on the short list of candidates interviewing this week for the coaching vacancy. He spent 2011 as the Offensive Coordinator at Colorado Mesa University under Joe Ramunno.

Powell said that he will have more information on Friday, also stating that he will re-post the position if the selection committee does not select a new Head Football Coach from this pool of candidates.
