Cedaredge Captures First State Title in School History

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--No. 3 Cedaredge knocked off No. 1 Buena Vista, 18-16, to capture the Class 1A state title--the first in school history.

The Bruins were up 12-0 at the half, and Buena Vista responded; however, Cedaredge managed to hold them off to hand the Demons their only loss of the season.

Both teams finish the season at 12-1.

The 2012 Cedarege Bruins and their coaches were definately a class act at all levels. They were underestimated by all including the media yet they held their heads high and proved it on the field and daily lives. Good job men; you earned this and it was well deserved.
