Breaking News: Grand Junction's Jessie Hoffschneider Signs to Wrestle at CMU

by Josh Moser

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-Grand Junction and current Colorado Class 5A State Wrestling Champion, Jessie Hoffschneider will sign at CMU, according to Colorado Mesa Head Wrestling Coach Chuck Pipher.

Hoffschneider will be joined by Palisade's Daniel Salazar and early-signee Willy Haldren of Central High School in the 2012 recruiting class.

NewsChannel5's Josh Moser was first to break this story.

"Starting off two four-time State placers in Daniel Salazar and Jessie Hoffschneider," said Pipher. "Both those guys placed four times in the state tournament, Jessie was a State Champion this year, and all three (Willy Holdren, Central H.S.) are stellar students as well. They are all between 3.8 and 4.0 students so that's what's going to be great for us bringing in these types of student athletes-no doubt."
