Arrianna Diaz Talks All-Colorado Softball Nod Live

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-Grand Junction senior softball player, Arrianna Diaz appeared live on NewsChannel5 at 10 p.m. Wednesday night to discuss being named to the All-Colorado Softball team.

Diaz batted .478 this season with seven home runs and 30 RBI's, while playing shortstop. The All-Colorado team member also pitched for the Tigers going 6-0 with 25 strikeouts on the year according to maxpreps.com.

She was the only player from the Western Slope to receive this honor. Diaz has decided to attend UC-Boulder in the fall and not pursue a collegiate softball career.

Grand Junction was 17-5 on the season and 9-1 in Southwestern League play. The Tigers were eliminated in the Class 5A Regional Tournament by Standley Lake High School.
