Sit Down With the "Pioneer League Executive of the Year" Tim Ray

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-Newschannel5 Sports Director, Josh Moser sat down with Grand Junction Rockies General Manager, Tim Ray, Tuesday afternoon to discuss Ray's Pioneer League Executive of the Year honor.

"I'm in this business for one reason--people," said Ray. " It's all about relationships, I love to visit with our fans, wrap a hot dog, and by golly even taste a hot dog every now and again, but it really truly is about people and relationships."

"I'm most proud of our fans to be honest with you because they are the ones that made this season a success." "To draw over 100,000 fans in your very first year is absolutely amazing...and I witnessed to really what was a love affair between fans and a team."

Ray just completed his second season as the club's General Manager, with the Rockies again reaching the playoffs for the first time since 2012.
