Rockies Open Second Half on a Three-Game Losing Streak

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-The Grand Junction Rockies (21-20,0-3) fell to the Orem Owlz (20-21, 3-0), 7-4, Tuesday night at Suplizio Field, dropping them to 0-3 to start the second half of the season.

The Rockies also began the year 0-3 dropping their inaugural series to the Ogden Raptors, the winner of the Pioneer League South first half.

Orem scored two quick runs off of Ryan Warner in the bottom of the first, before Rockies first-round pick David Dahl tied the game at 3-3 with his fourth home run of the season.

The solo shot extended Dahl's hitting streak to 13 games--his longest of the season.

Alving Mejias picks up the loss for Grand Junction.

The Rockies will play two more against Orem at Suplizio before welcoming in Ogden on Friday.
