Rockies Fall in Homestand Finale

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-The Grand Junction Rockies (19-17) fell to the Billings Mustangs (19-17), 12-11 in 10 innings at Suplizio Field Wednesday afternoon, putting them a half game back of Ogden in the Pioneer League South with two games to go in the first half of the season.

Ryan Warner got the start for Grand Junction and gave up six earned runs in four innings of work.

The Rockies rallied from a 5-2 deficit after the second inning to take a 10-9 lead into the 9th. However, Jesse Meaux was unsuccessful in the final frame giving up 2 runs on three hits.

The Rockies however tied the game in the bottom half but could not rally in the 10th after Billings scored another run.

Grand Junction will travel to Idaho Falls tomorrow opening up a four game set against the Chuckars on Friday.
