Rockies Drop an Extra-Inning Heartbreaker in Game 1 of the Divisional Playoffs

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-The Grand Junction Rockies (0-1) fall 4-3, in 11 innings to the Ogden Raptors (1-0) in the opening game of the 2012 Pioneer League Playoffs on an attempt to steal home on a passed ball by pinch runner Cesar Galvez.

Galvez substituted in for Correlle Prime who singled with two outs in the bottom of the 11th. David Dahl then singled to right field moving Galvez to third before he was thrown out on the stolen base attempt.

Eddie Butler gave up two runs in six innings of work. Both runs coming in the 4th inning.

The best-of-three series will now shift to Ogden Saturday night at 7 p.m. while presenting a "win or go home" situation for the Grand Junction Rockies.
