Grand Junction Rockies Get First Sunday Win

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--The Grand Junction Rockies closed out their homestand with a 3-2 win over the Great Falls Voyagers and recorded their first Sunday victory of the season.

The Rockies got on the board in the bottom of the first with a two-run single by Wilfredo Rodriguez.

Eddie Butler held the Voyagers scoreless through the first three innings until Zac Fisher hit an RBI single in the top of the fourth.

The Rockies' first-rounder would finish with six strikeouts in six innings, allowing one run and walking none.

Great Falls tied the game up, but Correlle Prime hit a go-ahead RBI single in the bottom of the eighth to make it 3-2.

Raul Fernandez pitched a shutout eighth inning to pick up his first win of the season, while Scott Oberg picked up his 11th save.

With the win, the Rockies improve to 11-10 in the second half.
