De La Rosa Impressive in Rehab Start With Grand Junction Rockies

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-Jorge De La Rosa was impressive in his three-inning performance Wednesday night at Suplizio Field helping the Grand Junction Rockies (42-33, 21-16) def. the Ogden Raptors (44-31, 23-14), 5-4 under the lights.

De La Rosa, who is coming off of Tommy John surgery in June of 2011 threw 49 pitches in three frames, allowing no runs on three hits with three strikeouts.

Shortstop Jason Stolz hit his second home run of the season in the third inning giving the Rockies a two-run advantage.

Grand Junction would score one run in each the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings before Ogden rallied for three runs of their own in the final three frames. However, Jesse Meaux earns the save, his fourth of the season despite giving up a home run to Devin Shines in the final frame.

The Rockies will close out the their inaugural regular season Thursday night at Suplizio Field. First pitch is at 7:05.
