Rockies Winning Streak Ends With Loss to Great Falls

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-The Grand Junction Rockies (30-27, 9-10) fell to the Great Falls Voyagers (29-28, 5-14), 8-5 Friday night at Suplizio Field, ending their five-game winning streak.

The loss drops the Rockies to the bottom of the Pioneer League South, three games behind Orem with twenty games to play.

Julian Yan launched his league-leading 14th home run in the 8th inning to bring the Rockies back within two runs, but Joe Dvorsky was able to close the door on Grand Junction, earning his fourth save of the year.

First-round pick David Dahl hit his tenth triple of the year, good for tops in all of the Pioneer League.

Jayson Aquino will start Saturday night for the Rockies. First pitch set for 7:05 p.m.
