Rockies Win Fourth Straight After Sweep of Idaho Falls

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-The Grand Junction Rockies (10-9) def. the Idaho Falls Chuckars (9-10), 2-1, Friday night at Suplizio field, winning their fourth straight game while remaining undefeated during this home stand.

The Rockies scored both of their two runs in the eight inning. First it was a two-out RBI double by Colorado's 2012 first-round draft pick, David Dahl, then it was SS Matt Wessinger taking home on a dropped third strike by the Idaho Fall's catcher.

Ryan Warner records the win after giving up one run on two hits in four innings of work.

Scott Oberg gets the save, while Eddie Butler records a no decision after making the start. The Rockies first-round supplemental pick and 46th overall selection in 2012 went four innings strong and gave up no runs on two hits with three strikeouts.

Matt Strahm, formerly of Neosho County College that appeared in this year's JUCO World Series threw 12 pitches for Idaho in 2/3 innings of work, allowing one run on no hits.

The Rockies will welcome in division leading Ogden Saturday for a three-game set, before leaving on a nine-game road stretch. Grand Junction trails the Raptors by one game in the Pioneer League South.
