Rockies First Round Pick David Dahl Arrives in Grand Junction

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-The Colorado Rockies first-round pick, David Dahl, arrived Wednesday in Grand Junction after signing Tuesday night in Denver.

The 10th overall pick out of Oak Mountain High School in Birmingham, Alabama inked a deal worth $2.6 million Tuesday night, forgoing his college scholarship to Auburn.

Dahl, who played for the USA National team is a five-tool player that will play in the outfield for Grand Junction.

Manager Tony Diaz says he wants Dahl to get a week of practice in before he sees the field. Remember they have their season opener on Monday in Ogden, Utah against the Ogden Raptors, the minor league affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
