Rockies Finally Get A Win Over Ogden, Dahl Extends Hitting Streak to Sixteen

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-The Grand Junction Rockies (23-21, 2-4) def. the Ogden Raptors (23-21,2-4) 11-3, Friday night at Suplizio Field, giving the Rockies their first win over the Los Angeles Dodgers club in nine tries.

Eddie Butler earned the win throwing five shutout innings on five hits with four strikeouts. The 46th pick of 2012 now has thrown 17 consecutive scoreless innings in his last four starts.

The Rockies had a pair of home runs courtesy of RF Julian Yan and C Wilfredo Rodriguez. Both came in the six inning accounting for five Rockies runs.

First-round pick David Dahl extended his hitting streak to 16 games with a triple in the 4th inning.

Game two of the three game series is Saturday night at Suplizio Field. First pitch set for 7:05 p.m.
