Rockies Bats Lift Grand Junction Over Orem

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-The Grand Junction Rockies (5-4) def. the Orem Owls (1-8), 12-7, Tuesday night at Suplizio Field thanks to five RBI's by their first-round pick in 2012, David Dahl.

Dahl went 3-5 on the night with two triples. He also scored two runs and is now batting .321 for the year.

The entire Rockies line-up Tuesday night is batting over .300 with the exception of RF Julian Yan who is batting .258, but Yan had the lone grand slam of the season in Monday night's game against Orem.

Ryan Warner, the Rockies third round pick in 2012 and the Gatorade Player of the Year in Colorado, made his first professional start--3IP, 4H, 1R, 1K.

Eddie Butler earned the win in his professional debut. He was the Rockies second selection in 2012--#46 overall in the supplemental first round. Butler hit 98 m.p.h. on the radar gun Tuesday night- 2IP, 1R, 1K.

Scott Oberg closed things out for Grand Junction, giving up no runs on no hits with a strikeout.

The Rockies will close out their three-game set with Orem Wednesday night with first pitch scheduled for 7:05p.m.
