Rockies Back to .500 Afer 11-6 Win Over Orem

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-The Grand Junction Rockies (4-4) improve to .500 after defeating the Orem Owls (1-7), 11-6, Monday night at Suplizio Field.

Shawn Stuart records his first win for Grand Junction, allowing just one hit in one inning pitched.

Julian Yan broke it open in the 5th for the Rockies with a grand slam home run, only to be followed three batters later by Franmy Pena who had a three-run home run of his own, making the score 10-3 at that point.

Cesar Galvez also had a great night ,going 3-5 improving his batting average to .393.

The Owlz who have made the playoffs 11 consecutive seasons are off to their worst start in franchise history after eight games.

Both teams will go at it again Tuesday night at 7:05 p.m. at Suplizio Field.
