Phil Johnston Talks Move to Central

by Josh Moser

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-Phil Johnston spoke to NewsChannel5 Sports Director Thursday afternoon discussing his move from Colorado Mesa University to Central High School, where he will be the Warriors Offensive Coordinator under close friend and new head coach, Shawn Marsh.

"It's really just a person reason," said Johnston. " I want to spend more time with the family. College requires a lot of time and I missed a lot of events my kids were involved in last fall and that was tough. Obviously the relationship I had with Coach Marsh, he's one of my best friends out here and the opportunity to work with him was something I couldn't pass up."

Johnston will stay on staff at CMU through the spring to help with recruiting.
