Palisade Talks Potential Rematch with Rifle

by Claire Brandon

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--No. 9 Palisade will travel to No. 8 Roosevelt for the first round of Class 3A playoffs Saturday at 1 p.m.

The winner will play either No. 1 Rifle or No. 16 Erie, so if both the Bulldogs and Bears win in round one, they will meet for the second time this season in round two.

"It's always hard to beat a team twice," junior Devan Lucero said. "Rifle is a good team, but we'll come out swinging."

Rifle beat Palisade 31-3 in the regular season.
