Neosho's David Bote Meeting With Chicago Cubs Thursday

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-Neosho County CC's David Bote is meeting with the Chicago Cubs Thursday to decide if he will turn pro or return to school.

NewsChannel5 Sports Director broke the news Wednesday evening with Bote to be offered at least a six-figure deal according to his Head Coach at Neosho, Steve Murry.

"They'd (Chicago Cubs) like to have me," said Bote in a phone conversation with Moser. "I guess I'll talk to them tomorrow and see what happens when we go over the contract and all that."

Bote was selected by the Cubs in the 18th round of this year's MLB Amateur Draft.
