John Arledge Out as Palisade Head Coach

by KREX News Room

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--Palisade athletic director Mike Krueger announced Thursday that head football coach John Arledge has been released from his position.

"A personnel decision of this magnitude affects many people and is never taken lightly; however, we felt that a change was needed at this time," the statement reads.

Arledge was a part of the program for 12 years--beginning as an assistant before becoming the head coach. He also spent his college days as a lineman at Arizona State.

The process for hiring a new coach has "not been outlined at this time."

Has anyone verified to what extent he was a "lineman at Arizona State?" Brief review reveals no one with that name ever lettered there.
