Grand Junction Rockies Win in Todd Helton Rehab Start

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-The Grand Junction Rockies (16-15) defeated the Missoula Osprey (15-16), 10-5, Friday night at Suplizio Field, while Todd Helton made his first rehab start for the minor league club.

Helton went 2-3 with two singles and a walk in five innings of play. He is scheduled to play more Saturday in the third game of the four game set against Missoula.

LF Jeff Popick and 3B Matt Wessinger had two RBI's each, while the team comprised 15 hits on the night as a unit.

The Grand Junction Rockies currently trail the Ogden Raptors (LAD) by two games with seven games to go in the first half of the season.

Alving Mejias will start for Grand Junction on Saturday. First pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
