Grand Junction Rockies General Manager Tim Ray Named as the "Pioneer League Executive of the Year"

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-Grand Junction Rockies General Manager, Tim Ray, was named Monday afternoon as the "Pioneer League Executive of the Year."

The Rockies Rookie-Ball affiliate transitioned to Grand Junction from Casper, Wyoming this season, capturing their first playoff berth in twelve seasons as a franchise.

"I think (this honor) is a reflection of what kind of a year we had as a staff," said Ray via the phone. " You're only as good as your front office staff and I think we have the best staff in the Pioneer League."

The Rockies also donated $25,000 to the Junior College World Series, while also providing varsity baseball uniforms for the surrounding high schools.
