Grand Junction Rockies Earn Back-to-Back Wins Against Missoula

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-The Grand Junction Rockies (12-13) defeated the Missoula Osprey (13-12), 10-1, Friday night in Montana, notching the Rockies their second consecutive win.

Grand Junction jumped out to an early lead thanks to a solo home run by LF Ryan Garvey, his third of the season.

The Rockies came alive in the sixth, scoring seven runs which ultimately closed the door on Missoula.

Matt Carasiti, Colorado's sixth round pick of 2012 had his best outing of the season, throwing six scoreless innings while only allowing three hits.

They will now travel to Billings tonight and open up four-game series Saturday against the Cincinnati Reds Rookie Ball affiliate.
