Fund Created for Snowmobiler Caleb Moore

by Claire Brandon

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--Snowmobiler Caleb Moore remains in critical condition at St. Mary's Hospital following last Thursday's crash at the Winter X-Games.

Now, donations are coming in after a website has been created to help raise money to pay for the 25-year-old's medical bills.

You can find the fund at www.giveforward.com/calebmoore. A statement on the website reads: "Caleb Moore is an inspiration to us all and we want to support him and his family so they may stay strong during this difficult time...The world knows Caleb as a brilliant freestyle rider, but his family and friends know him as a fun-loving and deeply loyal person."

As of Wednesday night, $23,811 had been raised.

Moore developed complications in his heart and brain after a terrifying accident in the Snowmobile Freestyle Finals in Aspen.

He was attempting a back flip but came up short, causing his skis to clip the top of the jump. Moore went over the handlebars, and the 450-pound snowmobile came crashing down on top of him.
