Colorado Mesa's Kelsey Sigl and Colton Burgon Tabbed As The RMAC Offensive Players of the Week

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-Colorado Mesa's Kelsey Sigl and Colton Burgon were tabbed Monday afternoon as the RMAC Conference's Offensive Players of the Week for their outstanding play over the weekend against Western New Mexico and New Mexico-Highlands.

Sigl averaged a double-double in No. 4 Colorado Mesa's sweep on the road this weekend. She averaged 30.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game, and registered back-to-back double-doubles, her first two double-doubles on the year.

Sigl tied her career high 31 points in a 77-61 win at Western New Mexico on Saturday. She scored a game high 30 points and 10 rebounds in a win at New Mexico Highlands (92-53). Sigl was 10-of-14 from the floor.

On Saturday she scored 31 points and pulled down 10 rebounds, shooting 13-of-19 from the field, had three assists and two steals in the victory.

Burgon averaged 23.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game on the road this past weekend. He scored a career high 30 points in a 78-62 win at Western New Mexico on Saturday.

He posted his seventh double-double of the season, 30 points and game high 10 rebounds. He shot 68 percent from the floor and averaged 3.5 assists (game high six assists against WNMU), 1.0 blocks, 1.5 steals and had just one turnover in two games and 52 minutes of playing time.

In CMU's 74-70 loss at New Mexico Highlands, Burgon recorded 17 points, four rebounds, one assist and one steal.

He leads the team averaging 16.1 points per game and is pulling down a team high 7.0 rebounds per game to go with his team best blocked shots (29) and steals (28). He also has 42 assists (1.8 assists per game) while shooting .536 from the floor.

CMU will travel to Western State Colorado University on Saturday. Game time in Gunnison is slated for 7:30 p.m.
