GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-Thursday brought eight high school basketball games to the Grand Valley with Class 4A District Tournament with major State Tournament seeding implications on the line.

The action will run through Saturday in the double elimination tournament.

#1 Durango (15-5) def. #9 Battle Mountain (9-12) 52-32
#2 Palisade (15-5) def. #7 Montrose (8-13) 60-53
#3 Eagle Valley (15-5) def. #11 Glenwood Springs (6-15) 53-42
#4 Rifle (12-8) def. #5 Steamboat Springs (10-10) 29-28

Thursday Girls Results:
#1Montrose (16-4) def. #8 Palisade (9-12) 40-27
#2 Delta (17-3) def. #7 Eagle Valley (12-9) 52-27
#3 Rifle (14-6) def. #6 Steamboat Springs (11-10) 42-32
#5 Glenwood Springs (13-6) def. #4 Durango (11-9) 48-24
