Chante Church Leads Rifle Over Palisade

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-Chante Church's 17 points propelled Rifle (4-3, 2-1 WSL) to a 43-26 win over Palisade (2-3, 1-1 WSL) Thursday night at Palisade High School.

Rifle opened the game on a 15-0 run and closed the first quarter with a 15-4 lead.

Palisade would cut the lead to as few as eight points in the third quarter, but Rifle responded with a 6-0 run to head into the final period with a 12 point lead--which was too much to overcome.

Palisade will return to the floor tomorrow hosting Cortez High School, while Rifle won't return to court until January 11th hosting Summit High School.
