Central Gets Set For Valley Foe Fruita Friday Night

by Josh Moser

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-Central High School continued practice Wednesday in preparation for Friday's league opener against valley foe, Fruita Monument.

The Warriors are winless through their non-conference schedule hoping that Friday can be the night things turn around in 2012.

"We definitely don't have anything to lose," said Vern McGee, Head Coach of Central High School. "Watching Fruita on film they outplayed Highlands Ranch and got beat and they've been playing well and played great last week (against Grand Junction) and I was very impressed with the game they played."

Kick-off is at 7 p.m. Friday night at Stocker Stadium.
