Grand Junction Rockies Hitting Coach Drew Saylor to Manage Tri-City

by Josh moser

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-Grand Junction Rockies Hitting Coach Drew Saylor told NewsChannel5's Josh Moser that he will be the new Manager of Tri-City (SS-A) in 2013.

Saylor was a 13th-round pick by the Florida Marlins back in 2006 out of Kent St. University and played minor-league ball up through 2010 before beginning his coaching career.

He will now be the youngest manger in professional baseball at 29 years old.

Tri-City is one level up from the Grand Junction Rockies, mainly taking in players from the draft that had gone to college, and those that are moving up from Grand Junction that are not ready for Ashville.
