All-Southwestern League Football Selections

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--The Southwestern League released its all-conference selections for the 2012 football season.

Montrose's Angelo Youngren was named the offensive player of the year. The junior tailback finished first in the league, and second in the state in Class 4A with 1,602 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns.

Grand Junction's James Diamante was named the league's defensive player of the year. The senior lineman finished with 88 tackles and 4.5 sacks for a loss of 31 yards.

Diamante has committed to play at Wyoming next season.

Montrose's Todd Casebier was named the SWL coach of the year. He led the Indians to an undefeated record in conference play to clinch the program's fifth Southwestern League title in seven years.
