That is a possible solution Disgusted, but something most people don't realize is most of these people choose to live this way.

i would like to know with all the homeless people that have homeless dogs, do the dogs have their current shots and current tags? if not is the county doing anything to enforce this?

I find it very interesting that no one commenting has mentioned jobs, prosperity, or a healthy economy as possible solutions........

The homeless problem in Grand Junction is a huge problem. The city needs to do something. Why can't we do what slot of places do, and buy then bus tickets to leave.

Violence amongst homeless has increased dramaticly in the last 18-24 months, seek the info out; assaults like this, homicides, etc. These crimes cost dollars to investigate, prosecute and then the Police try and maintain some sort of civilization amongst theswe folks that don't believe in being civil, ask them most will tell you they like living this way. And yet we allow them to establish large, dumps as homesteads along our riverbanks and in the trees on private property and they claim rights to do so. We spend lots and lots of money cleaning up their messes and policing them but we never do whats right - MOVE THEM OUT OF THE AREA! Get rid of these folks and the money spent on their crimes and cleaning up after them is saved, we are talking about tens of thousands. Money given them for medical expenses, food, water, shelter (like tents), public transportation fares, all just handed to them from the cofers of the City & County.

To "Just Say-In"... First, violent crime is far from being isolated to the homeless...so what is you point?... Second what has the City and County got to do with any of this rather tax payer dollars are involved or not? Again...what is your point?

Hey Courtney FYI....its "Dike" not "Dite" and one is "on" a stretcher not "in" a stretcher. Once again another violent crime by the homeless, yet we praise the City & County for helping them at tax payer dollars expense.
