Woman Dead After Apparent Shooting in El Jebel

EAGLE COUNTY, Colo.- The Eagle County Sheriff's Office responded to shots fired at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. It happened on Vega Drive in the Missouri Heights area of El Jebel.

When deputies arrived on scene they found one deceased female and one wounded male. Both appeared to have suffered from gunshot wounds. The man was transported to Valley View Medical Center in critical condition.

Officials say there are no threats to anyone in the El Jebel area.

The identities of the victims have not yet been released. Officials are still investigating the incident.

If any tip lead to an arrest and indictment of any suspect involved, a reward of $1,000 will be given from Crime Stoppers.
