GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- A Grand Junction woman is behind bars on attempted murder charges for reportedly stabbing a man multiple times.

Grand Junction police officers say they believe 57-year-old Bonita Jensen stabbed a man in the face, arm and abdomen during a heated argument at 3190 1/2 Kennedy Ave.

According to an arrest affidavit, the man's wounds were serious and life threatening. Doctors said the knife used in the incident went about eight inches into his head.

Jensen is charged with attempted second-degree murder and assault. She's also charged with crimes against an at-risk adult, since the man is wheelchair bound.
