GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- A Mesa County woman accused of a serious case of child abuse wants her bond reduced.

Officials say 29-year-old Ashleigh Wallace is charged with felony child abuse, as well as false reporting to authorities. Wallace's attorney has filed a motion to reduce her bond, which is currently set at $100,000.

On January 13th, investigators were summoned to St. Mary's Hospital to investigate suspected child abuse involving a 4-year-old boy. The child had a serious brain injury, a broken right arm, and bruising in different stages of healing on his body.

Officials say Wallace's significant other, 30-year-old Jessie Martinez, is also charged with child abuse, and two counts of felony child abuse.

Wallace is scheduled to return to court on April 2nd for the bond hearing.

I would love to wipe that smug look right off her face. She is another that should receive sterilization.

Why should she receive any consideration ? Did she consider her child when it was being beaten and bruised.

Looks like she is posing for a glamor shot, not a mug shot. Seems smug to me.
